What can a Teacher or Instructor do with the App?Support Home
If you're using Enrollsy and have traditional (or even non-traditional) teachers, instructors, or other staff who interface with your enrollees, students, participants, etc., and you are wondering how Enrollsy can help you close some of the communication loops in your processes, look no further than our Teacher/Instructor App. If you need help setting up instructors so they can use the app, please head over here.
When teachers login, they can see a list of all their classes. They can also filter the list by day to see enrollees in any given class who may have different schedules.
Teachers can enter and exit classrooms. This creates a record of their presence in the room. You will notice that when a teacher has entered a classroom, that they count towards the teacher to enrollee ratio for that room. We’ll talk about how to get enrollees checked-in and added to the ratio in a minute.
Teachers can text parents and receive texts from parents. Unlike admins, teachers can’t group text parents, but they can send other types of group messages.
That brings us to the next feature, Activities. Teachers can log one or many activities at once. We’ll start with a common activity, checking-in and out. To do this, we have a dedicated check-in/out page. The teacher icon in the top right is a menu. Click it and you’ll see the check-in/out page.
Here you’ll see a list of enrollees available for check-in and/or check-out depending on which of those activities was last logged. As a side note, activities can be posted by teachers, admins, and parents and the name of the person who logged the activity as well as the date and time stamp will be recorded in the enrollee’s Activity Timeline.
There is a lot more you can do with activities, so let’s head back to the Activities page and take a look. The activities page lets you log an activity to one, some, or all the enrollees at once. Simply check the enrollees you want to log an activity for, or the Select all box at the top, and then choose the activity type (enrollees do not have to be present or checked-in for you to log activities to their timelines). I’ll choose a photo. If you’re using this on the app, the photo option will allow you to choose from your photo library or take a new photo with your camera. Each activity allows for a note as well.
You can also log other types of activities that are unique to the student, like a health check. To do this, click the info icon next to their name. Choose health check from the activity picker and then simply answer the questions. When you’re done, click post. This view of course allows you to see the student’s timeline as well.
Within this same page, you can also see the student and account info collected at the time of enrollment.
That about summarizes what you can do with the teacher app. You can use the app straight from the Apple App or Google Play Stores, or you can simply sign in to app.enrollsy.com/teacher.
